A Long Time

Wow! It has been a long time since I have gone on here. Almost a year, wow a sure lot has happened. I don't even know where to begin. Eric and I bought his grandfather's house in October and moved into it in December. We (mostly him and I help when I can) have been renovating the house. As of today we have completed the master bedroom and bath, the kitchen is done except for the cabinet doors ( my job mixture of procrastination and him telling me to wait), all of the original floors have just been refinished. Right now we are putting in the base, trim, and crown moulding so we can finish the living room, office, and guest room.
I am no longer working for Coca-Cola, I am now working for ADT Security and loving it! I have a great manager who cares and great peers to go too when I need help.
I am now the Aunt to two wonderful nephews. Kristen just had her second son, Chase Matthew. I am so blessed to be their Aunt.
During my time of unemployment I have rediscovered my passion for photography. I have been able to put it to the test and it is something that I am really good at and I am hoping that it I will go some place with it.
I will be posting pictures of our house, my handsome nephews, and some of my photography in future post... maybe today maybe tomorrow.... thank you for reading sorry if it was boring... I'm not the writing type.

Our One year Anniversary

For our one year anniversary we went to Yosemite for the weekend. We stayed at the Evergreen Lodge, what a beautiful place. On our anniversary(Aug. 16th), we went to Glacier Point what a gorgeous view... everything about Yosemite is amazing and breath taking. We were able to view Half Dome and the Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls. According to one of the other hikers he hasn't seen it this clear in years... so we were lucky. On the way back we stopped off on the highway and hiked along to a little field that had little purple flowers. Eric showed off his picture taking skills lol.

The next day, the day of going home, we decided to go see Bridalveil Falls. WOW enough said. We walked the path just like the rest of the tourist and I told Eric that I wanted to climb and get as close as I could to it. We got about half way to the first little pool that had a little waterfall from the main pool and waterfall and we had to stop. Not only did the rocks get steeper and slippery but my knee started to bother me. :( We hung out at the little pool for a while enjoying the scenery and then came the climb back down!! What a workout! but worth every step of it.

I had an amazing time and I got to spend it with the love of my life! I can not wait for all the amazing adventures we have before us :)

Santa Monica Pier

So this past Saturday I took my mother to the Santa Monica Pier. This was the first time I have ever gone. I took her there because my great grandmother passed away, Santa Monica being her favorite place, my mother wanted to go down there and say her goodbyes. Our goal was to throw yellow roses(ggma fav flowers) off of the pier and into the ocean. Well lets just say it was extremely busy and we were not sure if we would get in trouble. I loved being there with my mom and being able to walk along the beach catching up with her. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the traffic getting there and the traffic coming home. Other then that a great trip :)
